Tapioca flour, the main ingredient in our cookies, is a starch made from the Yuca-Cassava plant. It has been significantly used all over the world as an ingredient in children’s food for its excellent digestive and nutritious properties. In order to preserve the natural digestive properties of Tapioca, Panderos Delights never uses any preservatives or food coloring and uses only 100% natural ingredients.

The Arrow Root or Cassava, from which Tapioca Flour is extracted, has found its way to the cuisine of most cultures and currently constitutes the major source of dietary energy for over 500 million people around the world. In the US, it is most commonly used in baby food, puddings, and gourmet teas.

Tapioca cookies are made all over the world in countries that have a strong cassava culture. In the Philippines they are known as Uraro, in Colombia as Panderos and in the Dominican Republic as Ojaldra. We started baking our cookies for our children and guests so we always used only the finest ingredients. Now that we are making our cookies for the public we continue using only the best ingredients in our goal to make a tasty and healthy snack.
